Review of Deep Learning Approaches for Thyroid Cancer Diagnosis

Thyroid nodule is one of the common life-threatening diseases, and it had an increasing trend over last years. Ultrasound imaging a commonly used diagnostic method for detecting characterizing thyroid nodules. However, assessing entire slide images time-consuming challenging experts. For ultrasound in meaningful manner, there need automated, trustworthy, objective approaches. The recent advancements deep learning have revolutionized many aspects computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) image analysis tools that address problem diagnosing In this study, we explained objectives cancer conducted literature review on its potential, limits, current application area. We gave overview progress using methods discussed various challenges practical problems might limit growth integration into clinical workflow.
